Established on January 27th, 1976, under the Co-operative Societies Act, Shivamrut Cooperative Milk Producer’s Union has been a beacon of cooperative excellence. Initially encompassing five talukas in Solapur District, Maharashtra, namely Malshiras, Sangola, Pandharpur, Mangalwedha, and Karmala, it has evolved its focus over time. Presently, the union concentrates its activities primarily within Malshiras taluka and its surrounding villages, extending its reach to 236 village collection centers.
Guided by the visionary principles of the late Sahakar Maharshi Shankarrao Mohite-Patil and under the esteemed leadership of Hon. Shri. Vijaysinh S. Mohite-Patil, alongside the dedicated Board of Directors, the organization steadfastly progresses on the path of prosperity. Through effective program implementation, the Dairy business generates an annual income of Rs. 250 crores in the area, providing self-employment opportunities to approximately 40,000 rural families within the taluka. This success underscores the union's commitment to community development and economic empowerment in the region.
