The Nalgonda-Ranga Reddy Milk Producers Mutually Aided Coop. Union Ltd. was officially registered on 25.02.1986. With 20 Milk Units spread across Nalgonda, Yadadri-Bhongir, and Suryapet districts, along with 4 in Ranga Reddy and Vikarabad districts, the union has established a robust presence in the region. Additionally, a feed mixing plant located at Bhongir supplies cattle feed to farmers across the five districts.
In a significant development, the Mother Dairy, inaugurated in 1987 at Hayathnagar with a daily capacity of 2,00,000 Liters, merged with Nalgonda-Ranga Reddy Coop. Milk Producers Union Limited in September 1992. The union currently procures milk from 600 registered milk producers' cooperative societies and 400 milk producers' association centers, operating through 100 milk routes. Presently, the union has approximately 50,985 milk producers, including 7,200 women members.
Notably, the NARMUL (Nalgonda-Ranga Reddy Milk Producers Mutually Aided Coop. Societies Ltd.) underwent conversion into Mutually Aided Coop. Societies under the 1995 Act on 15.01.2003, with 350 milk societies transitioned into MACS under the same act out of the total 600 milk societies. This conversion reflects the union's adaptability to evolving cooperative governance structures.
