Established in 1980 as a state complement to the National Dairy Programme 'Operation Flood', the Kerala Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd (KCMMF) operates as a three-tiered organization. At the grassroots level, MILMA comprises 3315 Anand model primary milk Cooperative societies as of February 28, 2019, with 9.77 lakh local milk-producing farmers as members. These primary societies are organized under three Regional Cooperative Milk Producers’ Unions: TRCMPU for Thiruvananthapuram region, ERCMPU for Ernakulam region, and MRCMPU for the Malabar region. This structured framework allows KCMMF to efficiently manage and support the dairy activities across different regions of Kerala.
