The Jharkhand State Co-operative Milk Producer’s Federation Limited (JSCMPF) played a significant role in the era of the renowned White Revolution during the seventies and eighties, known as Operation Flood. At that time, Jharkhand, then a part of undivided Bihar, primarily functioned as a market and did not reap substantial benefits from this transformative movement. Despite India achieving self-sufficiency in milk production during this period, the eastern state of Jharkhand continued to rely on importing milk from other regions.
