Founded in 1958, Aavin stands as one of the most venerable and successful dairy cooperatives in India. With an overarching mission to propel the development of the dairy industry in Tamil Nadu and elevate the livelihoods of local dairy farmers, Aavin operates on a cooperative model, where these farmers are the principal stakeholders. Numerous village-level milk producers' cooperative societies compose the integral network, wherein members supply milk to Aavin.
Renowned for its expansive production and distribution network, Aavin sources milk from myriad dairy farmers across Tamil Nadu. Following this, the federation undertakes the processing of the raw milk in its dairy plants before subsequently distributing an array of dairy products to consumers. Aavin's product portfolio spans fresh milk, curd (yogurt), ghee, butter, buttermilk, ice cream, and various milk-based sweets. Beyond its conventional offerings, Aavin also diversifies into the production and marketing of dairy-based health drinks.
